Al-Jamal Lab was established in 2011 at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Science within King’s College London by its founder Professor Khuloud Al-Jamal. We are strategically located in the heart of London with a fantastic view overlooking the Thames river.

The lab consists of its group leader, a group of scientists, PhD, postgraduate and undergraduate students from diverse scientific and ethnic backgrounds.

The focus of our lab is pre-clinical and clinical translation of advanced therapy approaches with the aid of recent advances in the fields of Drug Delivery, Nanomedicine and Imaging.

Our lab has expertise in a wide range of nanomaterials of soft and hard compositions. We collaborate with basic scientists, clinicians, and industry because we strongly believe collaborations both at lab level and beyond is the key to success. In Jan 2021, our lab celebrated its 10th anniversary.
